So to DM on MS (the "OAS"), must one have PA's, HDM's, or both approvals? Or will there now be different classes of DMs on that server? What's the drawback of involving more than one DM, say, three, to match the application process?

What do you want to get out of this Veilan? You already said you think the open live server is a bad idea? We know you're against it- you helped squash it as lead with Curm when I brought it up a year ago and you've been making snarky remarks ever since. You know admin has no intention of opening any of the other live servers and I really don't think you or swift care less how many OAS DMs approve prospects- you never objected during the six years we did it that way before. You certainly don't want any other servers opened in live so what's your point? You don't like the changes around here so you just troll every effort now to move the community forward? This after helping block honest efforts of so many in the community for so long? Shame on you.
Seriously mate, if you're just here now to stir shit up and troll then take a hike. You certainly don't belong in a position of power and authority, running the moderation forums for alfa, if your only point in being in this community is to undermine the rest of us.
Please, come play and dm with us, have fun, join in, and help- but stop the trolling mate, no one here wants it.

Certainly not what I wanted, but I guess what I got out of this was an Admin resorting to personal attacks instead of answering questions.

Edit: Even though WW still snuck in in the time it took me to get the to panel! Sneaky.
I must say that I am glad I got in via an application (twice). It seems a lot more difficult to get in via the OAS than via an application! The first time I got into ALFA I didn't even know what a "tell" is, much less that I shouldn't run everywhere, that OOC talk should be minimized and that doors should be closed. The second time I was accepted I still wouldn't have gone around closing doors behind me ... I just disagree that you can judge somebody's ability to RP based on closing doors.
So, if the DMs use the "Applicant Checklist and OOC Interview" as a guideline I think that the OAS is going to get fine RPers. Ones that are ready to jump in and play right away instead of ones like me that need to be shown the ropes.

Veilan you're right to object to my post. I think we should all make an effort to be civil to each other in forums or any other venue in ALFA, and as PA I should not have replied to your post in that fashion, but rather set a good example for everyone by not reacting the way i did. I was replying in a rush and really allowed my frustrations about a number of issues be projected into that response, but that responce was overly harsh given the context of what I was replying to. Also, I do want to say it's unfair to characterize you or Swift as not contributing to ALFA, as you both log in as DM or player, and both help in Moderation and as an ADM respectively. I do apologize for any defamation or insultatory remarks made regarding this back and forth between us. As I said many times, I do like both you and Swift, and I even recall singing your praises when you retired as lead. There have been more than a few bad feelings on all sides and I for one think we should put that behind us and enjoy playing and working together in alfa to all of our benefits.
