You must begin by chanting out loud before your computer "Elves are the best, I love Elves, Elves rule forever" 5000 times.

Then read the 2e sourcebook Complete Book of Elves. Memorize it. Love it. Cherish it. Join every internet forum you can find and post how much you love it.

Also begin a blog titled 'I am an Elf lover' and maintain it faithfully.

Trust me, it will work.

On a more serious note, welcome back.

Just thought I would update...

Mixed emotions about my 'comeback'...

I still find some attraction in the game but it seems there is simply nothing to do unless DM is online.

I tried to do few statics in BG, 15 mins static rewards you with 2-3 XP, it's really disappointing.

If you're talking about with your high lvl PC, that's to be expected from low lvl static content, yeah?

There are places suitable for higher lvls to explore in ALFA without a DM, and there's always RPing with other PCs. But it's well established that most content on ALFA servers don't favor DM-less high lvl play if juicy fat xp is your goal; 90% of orcs and goblins in our version of FR are not going to pose a serious threat to high level adventurers.

If xp is a priority I'd suggest rolling a low level alt if there aren't any DMs available in your timezone atm (though honestly, there's better suited PWs than ALFA if xp via static content is the main priority).

There is one currently high lvl weekly session going on (might be wrapping up soon though) but I believe the DM stated it's no longer open ICly to new participants. There's also an UD adventure on BG that might be open to new players and should be able to accommodate higher lvls, and I'm pretty sure there's been one Euro TZ player that's dedicated enough to play regularly in it.

I'm attempting to get a mid/highbie DM ed campaign going, and I'm in the middle of talks with a DM about it. I'll let you know if it'll work out.
First Character: Zyrus Meynolt, the serene Water Genasi berserker. "I am the embodiment of the oceans; serene until you summon the storm." Zyrus: http://tinyurl.com/9emdbnd

Second Character: Damien Collins, the atypical druid. "What? Being a stick in the mud is boring. No pun intended grins"
