Thanks Tech Team.

I note how active you have been (forums wise), and some of the work that is underway. Great stuff.

I'd like to contribute in some way.

Do we need more heads or rp spells added?

Thanks for the offer, Rumple-- we do have the help wanted thread, which has some of the things that should be easy for folk who aren't too far into tech to get into (stuff like loading screens). If you're keen on getting into the scripted side of things, we also have our list of open support tickets, which you could troll for more-straightforward fixes (though which I warn to read at your own risk; people sometimes post meta information in their tickets, and it's generally best to avoid tickets that come from players of in character rivals). I'd probably also claim that our current static content state is a more-urgent situation than our spells situation; dimrets have put pressure on the servers to offer content which spans a greater CR range, and obviously Moonshaes benefits from CR 1-3 content as it's our de facto OAS right now (also, the first bit of feedback I've gotten about our existing static content tutorials is that they're still not quite on the level we'd like them to be to make building statics available to starting builders; unfortunately, I am stricken by expert blindness on that one, so could use help translating there).

If the interest is still primarily in spells, I wouldn't turn you away, but there tends to be a more complex discussion involved in getting that going, so it'd probably be best to tackle folk in chat to establish what you want to do/ what its scope would be/ if it would require a parallel project to make sure it wasn't disruptive or damaging. If the interest is in adding models, you're pretty well free to work out the compatibility angle of that at your own leisure and punt the results toward us (within reason, of course; no porn, no laser guns, no models that actively subvert the supporting mechanics).

(though I do say all of this and warn that tech isn't particularly active right now; the recent forum activity just has to do with having hit a bunch of documentation deficiencies all in the same place. I'd expect that it would take effort to keep pace if you wanted in on our major projects)

Thank you Rumple for starting this thank you thread so I can thank all the people who deserve thank yous.

Thank you tech team thank you. You complete me. Literally(!), and most directly/recently thanks to Ronan who when on a very short mini-break (just before he started DMing) on his scheduled DM time on BG, while waiting for his players spent a half hour or more fixing Bu's BIC file update for me while I was on MS, fixing the skills issue for me.

This is just a small but always sigificant example of real time support ALL the tech team give so much of to help us.

I gave Ronan a dozen chances asking him to forget about helping me until whenever (or even not!), but he just kept plugging, found the solution and solved it.

This thanks goes out to all tech though, the past 3 years I've been back ALFA has changed SO MUCH for the better because of you all.

Very special thanks to Zelknolf and Foam also. ALWAYS working. I have no idea how they can do it. It feels like they're literally NON stop.

Huge thank you.

Cheers

thanks for all the support from tech, infra and the DMs to make our porjects go forwards. Esp. Open MS and the data gathering tools and the new price checker/fixer which will eliminate a major DM headache with fixing item pricing.
