The property grows nicely, thanks Teric. I've just finished building some garden beds for my wife in between burning off as much dead wood as we can before fire season. Had good rain the last few weeks, so the dams are full and everything is green. Got to excavate a couple of new dams, sand and restain the house with fire-retardant stains and set up a sprinkler system for the roof. Penny still won't let me get a tractor, so all of this is being done with a shovel, minus the painting, although I did try to convince her that a tractor can be handy when painting also. She ain't buying it.

I've grown used to not building at a computer, although I suspect it will remain a favourite memory. But really building was just a means of being able to be part of ALFA, so it's more likely that ALFA will remain the meaningful part of that nostalgia. I love to see it still going strong.
