Letter to selunite temple

Post by orangetree »

Dear selunite temple,

There is a dragon nearby and I am organising contingency plans for the families in Beregost if the worst happens. I'm aware there are underground areas in your temple and wanted to see if you would be willing to take some families and how many. Children would be the priority and those unable to take the longer journey to Nashkel. I will be on escort missions to ensure their safety with other volunteers.

Gods bless you,

Sora Littleknight of Yondalla.

This open letter gets another open letter in response, looking to be penned by a clerk-- or at least seeming to lack the left-handed tilt of the champion's writing.
Ruqel's public policy is and remains to take in refugees and to protect them from evil. Should people arrive at our steps in attempts to flee such a threat, we will do our best to protect them.

The Silver Spires is also a temple of Selûne. Any children who cannot be cared for or protected by their parents can be brought here, and we will do our best to care for and protect them.

However, one should consider the strategic implications of marching 4000 people over 40 miles of open road, which is currently intermittently threatened by the Bluescale kobold tribe and when the threat is faster than they are and can fly.

We would suggest that going agreements be maintained, and that help be called to the attacked spaces in the event of that attack by magical means. In that same event, common folk should seek the most-immediate source of cover, avoid huddling together, and avoid moving through any open spaces or settling near flammable materials. If one is forced to must choose between cover and avoiding flammable materials, choose cover. Please remember that Governor Ormlyr and Thalantyr are both good men of remarkable power, and that magical contact and travel should mean that help can arrive very quickly.
