The Knights Draconis

Post by HEEGZ »

A visual chronicle of the exploits of the Knights Draconis!

Image
*The seven adventurers leave the priest to collect their reward. Tensions were high, but the job was done. The girl was returned alive, but she did not live out the night. The man responsible for the disturbance escaped, but not for long. The Knights Draconis are on his trail.*

Image
*Refae, Jaques, Bozwell, and Xavier found another kobold lair and slew quite a number of them. The find of the night was a small room carved out of the rock, with some books and scrolls and various odds and ends which were looked over closely for valueables. They returned and reported all of their findings to the marshall. Xavier played the pincushion all night long and is quite beat up.*

Image
* The Knights Draconis found themselves trapped for the better part of a day in some ruined crypts. They encountered another necromancer, though this time they were able to successfully stop her. Some tomes were found upon her body and recovered by the band. During the events of the day, the very shadows themselves seemed to come to life. Memories from the hero's pasts realized themselves upon the faces of the shadows, before being driven into oblivion. The Knights found themselves forced to endure such assaults until finally the weakened dweomer blocking their escape faded from existence. *

Image
Xavier Ryll, Mage-Cleric of Mystra, in the Tower of Balance, Silverymoon

*Xavier has been reading through all books recovered by their adventures, including some rune impressions collected by Boz from the first necromancer's ritual chamber. Those in his possession, as well as scrolls and potions found are taken to the temple of Mystra in Silverymoon. While there, Xavier seeks the input of the clergy for any clues that may have been found.*

Image
*Bjorn led Jaques and Xavier on a late night follow up of the Wyvern rumors around High Hold. They were able to survive several waves of kobolds and a few orcs before falling back. They were unable to finish their scouting job, and barely escaped with their lives. The three deliberate on how to proceed after the rumors.*

Image
*Jaques advances and begins unleashing arrows, followed shortly by Xavier, while Bjorn begins to charge into the fray.*

Image
*Jaques is quickly surrounded and felled, while Xavier calls upon Mystra for aid.*

Image
*Bjorn slays more than a dozen kobolds with assistance from Xavier and the die hard Jaques who continued to sing from the grassy earth.*

Image
*The Knights Draconis assemble, ignorant of their leader's death.*

Image
*The funeral pyre of Jaques Papilio, over which was sung:

Born under the dragon sky torn
The lightning flashed!, thunder struck!
And thus were the Knights born

We claim the name, The Knights Draconis!
By the right, by the sight! We own this!

Evil flees when we draw near!
It pisses front, craps the back
And then shakes with fear!

We claim the name, The Knights Draconis!
In the night, fear our bite! We own this!

Listen well to their galloping thunder
Riding hard, kicking arse
Finding villains to tear asunder

Led by Jacques, the brave, the pure
The greatest adventurer ever lived
That’s for sure*

Image
*A trio of Knights Draconis are ambushed by a hostile adventuring party.*

Image
*The Knights Draconis welcome their newest member, Lazazeyl, after a night of successful patrolling. His skill with a bow was demonstrated by his placement of shots into his orc and bugbear victims.*

Yay! Layla (aka Amira) in pics! Sorry I didn't get a screen pic of the dragons when I saw them - I was a little distracted with thoughts like "Holy f'in sh*t I need to get the f'k out of here!!!!" and stuff.

But it was cool - thanks HEEGZ, thanks Ith.
