A dark-haired robed woman was seen rushed to the Knights in Silver palace in Silverymoon with a heavy contingent Knight in Silver and Spellguard.

Those questioned would state she is a dangerous Necromancer, Banite and known murder, expected to shortly be executed.
People talk of bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as man, so artistically cruel.

A young gnomish man garbed in robes of the distinct colors of the Spellguard of Silverymoon can be seen traveling to High Hold every few days from Silverymoon, entering the keep at it's center upon his arrival. Sometimes he emerges minutes later, other times, an hour or longer passes before he leaves, though he almost always leaves with a stoic expression upon his face.

There has been something of a rash of pickpockets in Silverymoon in the evening, mostly on the North bank. Several have been caught and are being held by the North Bank Constabulary.

Humble funeral took place in the Tormite temple today. A small group of people came to share last honor to Alex Clifford, a warrior of Torm, who has served the temple in Silverymoon for the last couple of months. After the funeral , his brother in faith Hawk was seen exchanging few words with the priest, before heading to the docks and disappearing into one of the ships.

A merchant is overheard complaining that a patrol of knights in silver demanded a hefty tribute of his caravan on the road to Highhold, West from Silverymoon. It's said the man appeared badly beaten and afraid for his life.

Rumor spreads through Silverymoon about a strange rotting that occurred to the signature tree at the center of the Golden Oak Inn, causing globs of black goo and a foul odor to permeate the building as mushrooms grew wildly. Information about the cause is rumored to be everything from an insect infestation and bad rains to poisoned waters and curses from the gods.

Sighs of relief from concerned citizens can be heard as Liana, the Tree's druidess caretaker at the Golden Oak, informs onlookers that the tree is beginning to make a recovery. Word has it that a group of adventurers led by Knight Protector Alyra Ashedown went into the sewers on a tip from druids to find the source of the malady, and returned somewhat worse for the wear covered in blood and guts. Later, a squad of the guard went into the sewers, presumably to clear out whatever was left and investigate the matter, but it is unclear what they found there.

The common folk are abuzz with strange news from across the Marches.

Sailors and local Argent Legion patrolmen speak of an incident at the Angler near High Hold involving demonic entities slaughtering patrons. Some say the slaughter was only stopped by the timely intervention of a group of heroes before all were slain. Others say that the Knights in Silver and the Spellguard caused the altercation to happen in the first place.

Either way, it is known something happened, as a Knight in Silver and Spellguard were spotted entering Silverymoon with a winged, demonic corpse in tow, and heading straight to the Lady's College.

A gruesome scene awaited those besieged in Auvendell this past sun. Word has spread that a pair of ogres had ripped through the defences of the small town, leaving four malitia dead in their wake...though these four gave the citizenry enough time to flee to the Auvendell Tower. Hours after the ogres appear, it is said a grumbling dwarf laid both ogres low, muttering something about a crossbow. The two heads have been placed on the walls of Auvendell in the hope further incursions by giantkin will be deterred.

Words travel fast between Khelb and Silverymoon of events transpiring only a few evenings ago.

The word is that not a few hours after the local Knight in Silver in Khelb sent off all the village's Knights to Hawk Nest, a group of four arrived from Silverymoon consisting of none other than Spellguard Olaf, Knight Protector Alyra, Selunite champion Persephone, and a hitherto unknown elven archer.

Not long after, an army of giants marching up the pass detoured to attack the small village, and were beaten back by the effort of just these four. While the main contingent of giants is then said to have continued north, the testament to the battle in Khelb remains, as eight giant corpses litter the bottom of Khelb's cliffs, and just as many ogre bodies as well.

It quickly becomes known through the Lowlands that the only road north to Sundabar and Felbarr - Silverymoon Pass - has been closed to traders and travelers. The Knights in Silver at Hawk's Nest stop any attempting to travel north, and issue harsh warnings of safety impeded to those that insist on traveling anyway.

Combined with the suddenly noticed lack of trade caravans coming down, most folk can only assume that the rumors of some strange war in the north lands are true, and that now, it is comes closer to home.

overhearing one evening at the caravan stop outside the citygate:

(trader 1) - I had this noble demanding I took him to Sundabar as he was to finish up some trading deal and as I told him we didnt do those runs at the moment he trippled the pay which as ye understand was more then I could turn away. I mean.. for that money I risk a few horses I do and the nobleman understood his life was not mine to protect should it come to such.

(trader 2) -thrice, damn.. had I fresh horses I go for dubble I tell ye. I mean, how fast can those heavy giant kin run compared to a fourspan afront the light twowheel carriers?

(trader 1) -well.. the two wheeler was out of the question, he had goods to fetch he said, over at sundabar that is given his deal closed well and hearing that I backed out of the deal. I told him I would risk me buisness an meself going there and back but doing it with a loader filled of what goods he now was to get with him *hands up defensivly in a grand gesture* Im not that desperate fer coins. After all the guards and knights over at the hawks nest are not known to warn us if there is no true threat *shrugs*

(trader 2) -who was it? did he find a driver or he still looking?

(trader 1) -dunt know mate, why?

(trader 2) -hells, if he be that dessperate what if we tell him we go if he pays up four times the going rate, for that amount we can go with two sets. should we find trouble we should be able to confuse the giants by distance ourself abit as we be rolling a light loader each and ...

(trader 1) -*laughs* are ye daft mate? I just turned down three times the rate and now you suggest I go for two and be feeling safe as I not go alone *shrugs* naa.. know what.. If I see the noble again I send him youre way and you handle it with some other mate and for that I take 5% of whatever you earn from the run, fair?

(trader 2) -hells yeah mate I hold ye to that.. but 5% of my share, not the grand total

(trader 1) -nops, 5% of the total of I keep me mouth closed

(trader 2) -*spits in his hands and hold it out* I aint forgettin this mate and ye know tide is turning now an then but allright.. 5% should ye get the fool intrested. talking of sundabar.. aint the dwarfs doing something bout the matter?

(trader 1) -well, the knights at hawks said the stubby ones have their beards occupied to secure some pass or vally further op north and there likely some truth in that. I meself spotted a group of easily 40 giants crossing the eastroad headin north an ye know what.. behind em was easily 200 huge wolfs, kept as dogs I tell ye.. dogs. each of them was big as ye heavy loader wagon and that was how they looked from that distance, who know their true size... naa.. Sundabar and those over there been having a hard time of late.. first all those dead traders, still dont know fer sure who was behind that but I heard dwarfs was seen chopping several heads of the baldurs gate traders *spits* and dont forget the words bout several hunnred dead felbarr dwarfs and now the lowland and hills be pestered by giants... naa, that federation should say our border lay about Khelb and focus on making sure all tha trouble never git west of that.

(trader 2) -*scratch his nose* ye know mate.. ifn we stay alert there might be a fair deal of coins to be made can we be among the first making th ejurny to sundabar an felbarr once thoe situation settle not to forgit auvundell

(trader 1) -might be aye but I plan to be alive that day and have horses an wagons able to make the trip

(trader 2) -so do I, so do I but if I can I like to see me purse full so I can make some good delivering uphand and this noble lad sounds just the one to see to that *grins*

Rumors abound at the University about a young gnomish Spellguard who until very recently spent most of his time there in study. Some students say they see him leaving late at night to travel to the Mystran tower in the city, where he stays for hours before emerging seemingly exhausted. Some followers of the Goddess of Magic there spin tales of the artificial testing field in the experiment area, claiming to hear strange creatures and thunderclaps as well as gusts of frigid air coming from the far end of the halls. What time he does spend in the University seems busier than ever.
