NWN1 Crash at log-out Windows 10

So I got that new laptop. It's an HP running windows 10.

I got NWN1 installed and can get in game just fine.


But when I exit the game it seems to be crashing the whole system. I get "blue spinning wheel of death" forever. Can't escape or c+a+d out of it.

Only answer seems to be hard boot with the power button.

Thoughts?

Well.... computer did a windows update at most recent restart and the problem seems to have self-corrected
