I just rehabbed a laptop with nwn2 on it, downloaded the tsm hacks, and then used same gsid to log in. Found my chars in the select char section, then got booted.
Is it possible to use two computers with diff versions of nwn2?
If so how can I make it work? Do I need to edit my cd-keys to be the same on both computers and if so how? (Some text folder can open and edit?)
Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

Re: Can I use two different computers for Alfa?
There's a nwncdkey.ini (or something named similarly) in your install. Copy it from the computer you usually use to the computer you'd like to use.
Back up the copy on the computer you'd like to use, of course; the values inside of it are unique identifiers of an install of NWN2 that you (presumably) own.

Can I similarly do that if I get a new rig, with a new install?

If you have the old nwncdkey.ini, yes, that would work.
If not, we'd usually suggest just using a new GSID. It's the least overhead and works right away.

Thanks Zelk!
So, even with a new GSID, I would be able to access my PC when I log in?

You'll have access to your DM avatars on a new GSID, not your PCs.
If you actually intend to play one of those old PCs, you still make the new GSID, but there's an extra step of PMing Foam or I the new GSID, so we can copy information over (also, so we can be sure it's you; this sort of thing, if done over IRC, could be literally anyone).
