Updating NWN2

Post by wvincenti »

Hey there,
I'm going to be building a new computer in a few weeks and that will mean reinstalling NWN2.
Is it true that Atari has taken down the updating servers? If so, what do I need to do to get it and the expansions up to date?

A lot of the comments report errors in these files.
Are there any better options?

Not that I'm aware of. I've used those before with success, you just have to be careful and make sure you're installing the right ones.

It's a painful process, but if you download and apply in the right order you should be good. Someone made a tool that will help you with the applying of patches, but you still need to download them and apply them in the right order.

The new versions of the game don't need to be patched?

Hm, I didn't have problems updating online normally, a week or so ago.

Make sure you update only AFTER installing MOTB and SOZ. Maybe they took down all patches except the ones that update SoZ.
