Problem - when re-installing or installing for the first time and joining, one gets the error message that an expansion is missing.

Solution - First, try reinstalling the original game and expansions...sometimes the installation process might fubar, and not recognize that you have the game and expansions installed.

Problem - booted at login.

Solution - this usually occurs when CD Keys have been changed or swapped from your original CD Keys, usually after a reinstallation with a new disk or download. If you are missing your old CD Keys you first used when coming into ALFA, you'll need to make a new GSID.

The order that the expansions should be installed in is:

1. NWN2
2. Mask of the Betrayer
3. Storm of Zehir

*After* installing everything, then patch.

The standard answer to someone who has lost old CD keys is to make a new GSID; it is a much more involved process to make sure that a person is who he or she claims to be, as CD keys are our method of player authentication. Please do not send me or anyone your full/private CD keys; we log the public portion of CD keys on any failed login, and that's all we need if we ever feel the need to manually edit the database.

Editing the post to clarify the policy.

Problem - When you are being invited to party , you accidentally forget the "ignore invitations" optioned checked and can't see any more party invitations.

Solution - ...Forgot, it was to edit some option in some INI file. Could be nice if one of the forum admins can edit this post with the solution.

Thanks.

If you download hak and pwc files (ie the big files that are downloaded the first time and when servers are updated) very slowly you can try this:

Problem: NWN2 Client continually times out, when reaching servers, due to bad/missing serial keys.

I purchased NWN2 in August, 2021 from GOG.com. The copy I DL'd came without serial keys.

If you have seen this:

Then you have to contact GOG and request new serial keys. From what I gather, takes them up to a few days to email the keys to you.
I received mine after about 12 hours.

Once you have the email with the key (and pay attention to which key is for which module), simply input those keys into this fella:

Then save, exit the tool, and give it another go. Worked for me.
