Doable.

It’s not the critic who counts...The credit belongs to the man who actually is in the arena, who strives violently, who errs and comes up short again and again...who if he wins, knows the triumph of high achievement, but who if he fails, fails while daring greatly.-T. Roosevelt

Re: Rescue!! OOC thread
We have not finished with this. So Sunday evening is a go. There will be some prep-type events that I will try to show up earlier for, so if you think you are late, just pop in we can still probably fit you in.

Re: Rescue!! OOC thread
Some clarification on how we're handling/compressing the time passage might be helpful, especially for fitting in newcomers? Strict comic book time I guess is out the window now since the abduction has been discussed with multiple PCs.
I suppose the simplest 'solution' is to simply avoid the discussion of time factor entirely; as much as I dislike that sort of thing it may be preferable to completely ooc behavior on the part of several PCs waiting weeks and possibly allowing the abducted woman to die or worse...?

Re: Rescue!! OOC thread
A list is given unto the Quartermaster of the Song of the Morning by Sir Caine Kross:
I humbly request the following items to aid in a rescue and ultimately end a potential threat to Beregost from the Gnoll incursion:
1. Alchemical or Silvered Weapons to be loaned to my companions
2. Alchemical or Silvered Arrows with a magical enhancement as needed by our archers
3. Three wands of Cure Light Wounds
4. One wand of Magic Weapon
5. One wand of Protection Against Evil
6. Warm furs and cloaks as needed
7. Travelling provisions as needed
I have 500 gold to offer toward these provisions to cut the cost to the Church.

((IC; Does word reach Baldur's Gate about this immediate and current need for tools/provisions/help for the impending event? Or is help requested publicly that far North enough for the commoners and others around to hear about the need?))

((Depends on if you hang out around the temple of Lathander eavesdropping on young Paladins, the Quartermaster, and/or the other companions in this venture )

The question was, if people up around BG would hear about it.
No skin off my back, Bu will keep the thousands of gold worth of support instead. Cool. Good luck!

Did we lock down a time/date to continue this?

Re: Rescue!! OOC thread
Right. Any takers for today? If you could list possible days/times Lokan it'd probably be helpful.

Re: Rescue!! OOC thread
Im not trying to avoid you guys, sorry. If I am uncertain I have time to game, I dont post anything. Id hate to put up a time and not show. With that said, today is the Super Bowl, but I am only half interested. The big pay off for days like this is family time.
Maybe at about half time, Ill boot up Alfa, and see who is on. If we have everyone, Ill prep and kick it off. If not, Ill move things around to make a concerted effort for next Sunday.
I realize that timing for some players is a big deal and is messes with your ongoing narrative, but I got a pretty busy schedule these days. I know you all understand, but I also wanted you to know that I understand that this hobby is important to you guys as well. Ill try to get you guys some game soon.

Re: Rescue!! OOC thread
No worries, RL comes first; if there's no available time slot then there's no time. It does help to try and schedule ahead of time if sessions are going to be infrequent, just like anything else, especially if people are busy.
Once the game starts, pretty unlikely that OGR or I will be around, though who knows, maybe if it's a blowout...
