Hail

Post by ElriofMelnibone »

I send greetings from the Dreaming City of Melnibone. I am glad to be here and had a good feeling from the time I read about the Server. Looking forward to playing and be a help! :)

Welcome

As we greet all newcomers " Good Luck on your Third Character" 8)

Seriously though , Welcome not sure what your play times are/will be ,

Currently their is a low level group at Rivermoot on TSM . . most common play time is Saturdays but various players can be found on at other times

The other DM'd game is on Moonshae's Friday nights but its aimed primarily at the higher level PCs though we have had low levels join us they just have to realize the death factor is higher.

There is some static content available on TSM , BG and MS though alot of it is not meant to be dealt with solo.
Current NWN2 PC: TSM- Lessa

HDM of Moonshae Server DM on BG
Builder Everywhere
DM times - 6:30-10 PM Saturdays PDT on MS . . other times as I show up
PM me on Discord if you want to be DMd on BG I have Monday nights available
Talk to me if you want to learn to build for NWN2

And hail to all. Thanks Arri' for the information on the saturday night group at Rivermoot. Will look into after I get a little more familiar with the lore and the current plot going on. My availability is pretty flexible. I live in Arizona (-8 GMT)

The old good luck with your second/third character around here serves as both a greeting and a warning. I still remember the warnings and the 10 odd minutes my first PC lived. Ever since that run-in with permadeath; I cant have it any other way and have the same amount of fun.
On that note; welcome!

It's a common experience. Permadeath is a rough transition for a lot of folk, but it's not impossible. There are people with their first PCs still alive. I'm often cited as one of them (it's only partially true; my first NWN2 character is alive, but I had ALFA PCs in NWN1 which weren't so fortunate-- my first ALFA PC was a wizard who died because he just walked into the back room of a shop, y'know, for shits and giggles. Turns out it was trapped and he only had 8 hit points. I had a monk after that, who got critically hit while trying to escape from an ankheg; while it devoured her corpse, the rogue sneak attacked it apart. But the third Swamp Castle! Gina! That one stayed up! Retired that PC when I started DMing Northern Cormyr, and then my PCs started living. Qillia lived; Roderick lived; Persephone lived.)

My first ALFA PC was killed by a deer within 15 minutes of landing on the ground in Shadowdale.
