A Land Far Away

Hi everyone,

My names Mark and I have just been accepted to ALFA. From what I have read on these forums this looks like my idea of the perfect PW and I am really looking forward to RPing with you all.

I'll be playing a Zakharan wizard named Fareeq* so if you see me hanging around please give me a poke!

Unfortunately, I recently broke my wrist so typing is slow and quite painful, so I am not sure when I will be on for the first time but I am hoping within the next few days (or maybe the weekend). I'll be playing probably from 7-8pm till late GMT (being a brit) in the week - perhaps a bit more at weekends - can anyone tell me how active are those time periods for ALFA?

Anyhow, welcome to ALFA, hope you have fun whichever platform you choose, or both if relevant. Can't really comment on "late GMT" activity, if looking at NWN1, you'd need to see how well that aligns with one of the campaigns which are going concerns, if NWN2, get active in those forums looking for gaming times, ask around in IRC, etc.

Evening GMT time is pretty robust.

Server census probably sits at around 6-7 PCs at the early poriton of you play and by "late night" GMT into the 10-15 range regularly.

Yep, should have said, it will be nwn2 ill be on. I did start to build the character last night, but the speed of my typing would have made it unbearable trying to roleplay.

Hopefully see some of you in there - which leads to my next question...

Which 'there'? I see there are several ALFA servers (I believe i picked silver marches), is any one better suited for noobs? As far as my character story is concerned, it doesn't really matter which part of FR he lands on.

TSM is the only live NWN2 server, Baldur's Gate and Western HIghlands are on beta stage.

Well, when I thought I was going to have my cast taken off all they did was replace it - and this ones not coming off for 4 weeks

I'm gagging to get in here but it's just too uncomfortable to type atm - rest assured though, soon as I think I can bear it for more than half hour my 1st character (promptly followed by my second no doubt) will make an appearance.
