Hello, everyone! Given that local roleplaying seems to have dropped off a bit, I went looking for something online. The main Neverwinter Nights page led me here, so here I am. I've cooked up a character, Lindy Willians, but I admit that I'm a little unfamiliar with this whole 'Third Edition' business...
But, I look forward to playing here!

Hey there--

feel free to pm me if you have any 3E questions and how they relate to NWN (I'm bored and just hanging around my PC)

Welcome and enjoy.
I'm pretty sure one can enjoy and get along with the game just fine even with an ignorance of the 3E rules... but if knowing them inside out is important, I guess googling them would be good. Think the "d20" folks collect a lot of that kind of info.

Welcome

. I have also had a lot of learning to do with the Third Edition rules. Last time i serously played D&D, it was AD&D in GreyHawk. But as it turns out, you don't need to worry about it. Your stats might be wrong (mine always seem to be) or you will take the wrong feats ( *sighs* ) but the world is about rp. And for that, you can almost ignore the system. People are so nice here, just ask any one a question and they will help you happily. Good luck and have fun.

Welcome Lindhrive, it's good to see you made it! You might not remember me, but I was the one that healed you during the Drow attack on Tervale. But anyway, welcome and good luck!

Welcome aboard!
As far as not knowing much about the system, nwn is great in that you don't really NEED to (Though it helps quite a bit) know much about the rules in order to play. Just familiarize yourself with *ALFA's* rules, maybe touch up a bit on FR lore (Knowing the gods on a basic level helps you avoid trouble and make friends alot easier) and over time you will get used to the rules the game runs on without even knowing it. Have fun and maybe I'll see ya in game.
