A return

Greetings all, it's been many years since I played here, but I can't tell you how I've been missing it. I've got the main game installed again, been playing the campaign just to refresh myself on the controls again, but I will try and get all the .haks and stuff setup this weekend. Any suggestions on where to go, who to play, etc? I've always fancied a rogue, but I might try a couple out until I get proficient again...

Wow, I guess I didn't even realize there were both NWN 1 and 2. I've got 2 installed, I'll have to dig up my old disks for 1 too. That was the one I played the most on, back in the Waterdeep and Silver Marches.

Hey, welcome back!

For NWN2, we have weekly+ sessions from Ariana on MS, and a low level group every Wednesday on BG. Rumple and KMJ are DMing too, though not sure of the specifics of their campaigns.

Question, I found disks for NWN1 and Shadows of the Underdark. Are there any other disks I should be looking for?

NWN1 and 2 both require 2 sets of expansion packs.

nwn1: Shadows of Undrentide AND Hordes of the Underdark
nwn2: mask of the betrayer AND Storm of Zehir

Thankfully they're all available at quite affordable prices these days if you're missing one of the sets... probably easier and possibly cheaper to get the entire collection (i.e. NWN1 Diamond edition, NWN2 Complete, etc) most likely, vs trying to hunt down just one expansion pack unless you luck out on amazon etc.

http://www.gog.com has them both if you don't mind digital copies.

Also.. NWN1 Servers are Waterdeep and Daggerford

NWN2 Servers are TSM/MS/BG/WH

A good group on WD and TSM and MS.
TSM has lowbie group on Saturdays I believe and Highbie group on MS is Sundays?
WD Has a mixed levels from 2-8.

Welcome Back.

Nice to see other folks coming back to visit and to play. Especially ones I haven't actually met yet.

Can't wait to see you in game.

V.S.

4 years, flew by in a flash, crazily enough. Trying to get life under control and all that rot. Was glad to see this still here to be honest, so many good memories of playing in ALFA. Is this still open on servers? I've just downloaded NWN1 and 2, and looking to rekindle that joy I had all these years past...

Welcome back!

Currently our NWN servers are running on Beam Dog's NWN Enhanced Edition, which has been continuously polished and upgraded since it's release a couple years ago. Ayergo's Waterdeep is an open server with no password and thanks to NWN EE's new systems the Haks auto download upon log in. I highly recommend swinging by and checking out Waterdeep when you have the time.

Some of the big changes are.....

Climbing, Jumping, Swimming and Flying are now real player options.

Barbarians and Sorcerers got some buffs.

Ayergo implemented a new Parry System so the skill has value.

Armor Crafting, Weapon Crafting, Trap Crafting, Potion brewing, and Item Enchanting are all things Players can achieve in game by gathering the resources and applying their skills without a DM needing to be present.

Soon I am told we will even have a very functional Mount system allowing PC's to make use of a large variety of different mounts with different advantages, and a whole slew of Mount related Feats.
