Bug Thread

  • The server is currently set at a maximum of 6 players. That might be a bit low.
  • The "PC Skin Object" is visible in the characters' inventory, has a weight of 1 lb. and can be equipped or dropped.[/i]
  • The PCtools are absent. As is the DMFI.
  • PCs start in what appears to be an IC area, with no starting gear except for their money and the NWN2-granted starting armour.
  • None of the areas I visited so far had background noises or music.
  • gwynneth corwell town
    • The woman by the well has no name and no voice.
    • "Grocer"'s dialogue only has the option not to see his wares.
  • gwynneth corwell bard store - "Merchant" (no name?) sells potions of Cat's Grace and Eagle's Splendour for 60gp. These should cost 300gp.
  • gwynneth corwell armorer - Corwyn Smythe spawns "Barely injured". He sells:
    • "Horse Hair Helmet", "Paladin Helmet", "Pot Helmet" and "Spike Helmet" all below the 100gp required for +1 Concentration items.
    • Chain Shirt for 80gp (should be 100gp).
    • Chainmail for 120gp (should be 150gp).
    • Full Plate for 1200gp (should be 1500gp).
    • Half Plate for 480gp (should be 600gp).
    • Heavy Shield for 40gp (should be 50gp).
    • Hide Armor for 12gp (should be 15gp).
    • Leather Armor for 8gp (should be 10gp).
    • Light Shield for 7gp (should be 10gp).
    • Padded Armor for 4gp (should be 5gp).
    • Scale Mail for 40gp (should be 100gp).
    • Tower Shield for 80gp (should be 100gp).

  • gwynneth corwell armorer - Corwyn Smythe has a surprising collection of weapons and ammunition too, for an armourer.
    • Bastard Sword for 56 instead of 70gp.
    • Battle Axe: 16 (instead of 20).
    • Dagger: 3 (4).
    • Flail 12 (16)
    • Greataxe 32 (40)
    • Greatsword 80 (100)
    • Halberd 16 (20)
    • Hand Axe 9 (12)
    • Longsword 24 (30)
    • Mace 8 (10)
    • Morningstar 12 (16)
    • Quarterstaff 1 (2)
    • Rapier 32 (40)
    • Scimitar 24 (30)
    • Scythe 28 (36)
    • Short Sword 16 (20)
    • Sickle 9 (12)
    • Warhammer 19 (24)
  • gwynneth corwell town
    • None of the shops are recognizable as such apart from their map pins.
    • "Leather Worker", "Jeweller & Moneychanger" and "Weapon Smithy" cannot be entered.
    • Every Chicken just stands in place.
  • gwynneth corwell boar tusk inn
    • None of the seats are usable.
    • The "Barkeep" has a very limited assortment of drinks, and no food.
    • Nobody is renting out rooms, and they cannot be rested in anyway.
    • The fireplace radiates no light.
    • Even though I entered the inn from "gwynneth corwell town", leaving it put me in:
  • gwynneth kingsbay town
    • The door of the "Silver Salmon" puts a character in "gwynneth corwell boar tusk inn".
    • Said "Silver Salmon" is only identifiable by its map pin.

Oh so that's where the weapons are... noted!

Only thing I've noticed beyond HF's coverage is that the bowyer has a double-door (stacked).

More to come.

  • Locations aren't being saved.
  • PCs do not get their OOC items: Subdual Toggle, First Aid Kit and DMFI widget (or whatever that one's called).
  • Day and night seem to follow each other way too fast.
  • gwynneth corwell red stag inn_2 - None of the chairs are usable, and the rooms do not allow resting.
  • gwynneth corwell sundries - "Gaveltoes" sells
    • A few mispriced weapons.
    • "Blank Scroll" that's missing the first lines of its description.
    • "Potion of Cure Light Wounds" for 9gp instead of 50.
    • Probably grossly mispriced "Thieves' Tools" (+1 and +3). (I'm not actually sure what their price is supposed to be.)
    • A non-functional "Torch".
  • gwynneth corwell town
    • The northwestern end of the town palisade can be walked past by wading through the sea.
    • Neither of the doors of the "Stables" have an associated transition.
    • The braziers at the end of the piers aren't lit, not even at night.
    • No background music, no background noises.
    • The door to the "Boyer" has no transition (and the aforementioned double doors).
    • "Pig"s do not flee or become hostile when attacked.
  • gwynneth corwell slipperyeel bar
    • No "Barkeep" spawns.
    • The door at the north end of the map doesn't transition.
  • Kantev Koart - the guards are nameless, and I couldn't make sense of their description.
  • Gwynneth Fens of the Fallen - two giants spawn right next to the transition from "gwynneth corwell town". They have a +22AB...
  • Dying spawned two corpses. One "Corpse", that looked like a beat-up skeleton, and one with my character's name that seemed to fade in and out of existence. No transitioning to a Fugue Plane occurred.

  • None of the NPCs has any objection to having their pockets picked, even when they make their Spot check.
  • gwynneth corwell armorer - Corwyn Smythe won't buy the goods he sells.
  • gwynneth corwell bard store - the walkmesh in front of the exit has invisible obstacles.
  • There are (at least) two areas called "gwynneth corwell town". Please let me know how you want them differentiated in the bug reports.
  • Lowhill interiors
    • No background noises.
    • No background music.
    • none of the NPCs has a dialogue or even a voice.
    • Sigweed Pipesmoke spawns twice.
    • None of the stools can be used, they're too near the tables.
    • Some of the stools are called "Chair".
    • Nothing in the area looks particularly Halfling-sized.

:not: Any chance of a server update to 1.23 in the near future? Most of us won't be able to test anything otherwise.

Yes..new version is coming in the next 2 weeks. I just added more areas so the 1.23 update will hit it at the same time.

Trying to log on with an older character gave the error message:
pop-up wrote:Invalid character - player login refused.
Character doesn't exist.
The log-on failed.
The server's ping septupled after that, and at the next try the vault was empty.
Once the ping had settled to three times the number before the first try, I went in again. Lo and behold, the vault had characters again, but selecting one resulted in the same error and the ping shot up again.

_099 TestServer Starting Area
  • The portals to the other servers have the dialogue option "Cancel Potalling."
  • The XP Gong does nothing.
  • New characters are not stripped of their possessions, nor do they receive starting gold.
  • There is no starting merchant.
  • Shouldn't this area be renamed?

It looked like it was working okay last night, but when I tried again this morning, I got the "This server appears to be behind a firewall or network and may not be reachable." message and a timeout. :?
