ALFA REALMS TRIVIA CHALLENGE!!

yup.. here it is back, well for the first time by popular demand, well no one asked for it.. BUT HERE IT IS ANY WAY..

ALFA's very own realms trivia challenge!!! YAY!

Here's the rules -:
I'll start the ball rolling with a question regarding Realms trivia. All editions are fair game as long as it is canon published by TSR or WotC. Whoever gets the right answer, referenced to the appropriate text, gets to ask the next question in the thread, and so and on and so forth, for great prizes... GLOATING RIGHTS!!

Yes you too can prove how much of a nerd you really are by answering correctly as often as possible and gloating to all and sundry how uber your realms knowledge truly is.. It wont get you a job, it wont get a partner of the sex of your choice and it wont make you wealthy or famous but it will make you feel 100% more superior than you do already to the rest of ALFA!! WOOHOO!!

anyway.. here's my first question to kick things off..

Name the most powerful published representative (priest or otherwise) of Lathander in the realms past or present The highest level or "inferred" power wins, judged by me. Reference and page number required...

THANKS FOR PLAYING!!

I put up for consideration:
City of Splendors, pg 68 wrote:Corinna Lathankin (LG hef W8/P8 of Lathander)
Or perhaps better:
the North, pg 53 wrote:Mornmaster Onadar Ryl (NG hm P16)

I'm sure I can dig out some high level references but I'll believe you..

go ahead and pose a question holly.. seems no one else is playing and since this is the only way I now interact with alfa apart from trolling now :) I'd be happy to have a crack at any question you can pose..

Okay, here's a toughy.

Shaundakul, during the Times of Trouble, slew a minor deity of the Orcs (or maybe the Gnolls or the Giants) near Myth Drannor. Who?

I spent over an hour pouring thru sourcebooks and doing online searches to no avail. It did lead me to do some building work on Shaundakul's Throne in Myth Drannor though!

Nythren? :chin: Can you cite a source please? I suppose the person who posts the question should confirm whether or not the answer is correct.

yes sources on all answers to be fair, book and page number. Must be official canon sources :)

In that case I probably failed to ask a permissible question, because I don't know of any true canonical sources myself.
So for all intents and purposes, the question was answered correctly.

Well just for curiousities sake - where did you guys hear about Nythren.

I am unable to find even the name mentioned in any of the the sourcebooks I have. I even went to Amazon.com to do word searches inside all the Avatar series novels and the Elminster in Myth Drannor one...thinking it might be somewhere in there.

Books would have been canon too. No, it's in one of the Candlekeep Compendiums.
Regardless, Riot gets to go next. And I get a penalty point.
