This might be a completely crazy idea, but in light of how combat modes go ... What if spellcasting (and Warlock EB) was only possible in a (new) "spellcasting" mode (and defensive casting, obviously)?
In terms of the CE fix, is CE's improper use against ranged attacks touched on?
If there's no cooldown timer on CE, then just simply ticking it off at casting/drinking etc, just invites a click-faster-fest, doesn't it? (You can change combat modes even while performing actions, can't you?)
It all becomes doubly problematic if AC is further inflated by letting CE go all the way to +5. CE is a very high-power feat as-is in the game, isn't it, so putting the priority at making sure the full pnp extent is brought in while some of the pnp restrictions are implemented in a limited form, does seem a bit odd.
No disrespected intended for the industrious souls actually walking the walk, btw.

We already have a plan, which all three tech staffers have agreed on, for implementation that addresses the concerns brought forward by the HDM.
