We need an ALFA standard for identifying special materials by tag for the purposes of the subdual scripting in relation to regeneration and the like. Please tag all special materials with the following, based on the material:

_ada_ Adamantine
_alc_ Alchemical Silver
_ara_ Arandur
_ast_ Astral Driftmetal
_blu_ Bluewood
_col_ Cold Iron
_cop_ Copper
_dar_ Darksteel
_dla_ Dlarun
_drf_ Dragonfang
_drh_ Dragonhide
_dus_ Duskwood
_fev_ Fever Iron
_fie_ Fiendbone
_fry_ Frystalline
_gol_ Gold
_hiz_ Hizagkuur
_liv_ Living Metal
_mit_ Mithril
_pan_ Pandemonic Silver
_pla_ Platinum
_ser_ Serren
_sil_ Silver
_son_ Sondarr
_suz_ Suzailian Chainweave
_zal_ Zalantar

It doesn't matter if the item is a shield, armor, or a weapon, the same tag is used and must be included. Thanks!

Does it matter where in the tag it falls? Can it be either of the following:

XXX_sil_XXX
XXX_XXX_sil?

Anywhere in the tag, so long as it has the underscores on either side.

Rather than using a tagging system, have you considered adding these as item properties, Cres?

At the time, 2DA changes and custom TLKs weren't recognized by the toolset or the game, so we abandoned these efforts. I'd like to come back to this if we can. It's a far more intuitive mechanism for builders.
