lol?

I'm just gonna leave this link to the repo here:
https://github.com/ALandFarAway/ALFA-Base-Resources/

The command to see a summary of commits is shortlog. Let y'all decide who's speaking hype, and who's speaking from experience.

Galadorn wrote:NWN2 does not include panther shape either. But the code for panther wildshape is just commented out. Ronan (one of the tech gurus around here), put panther shape back in a few years ago. It was very very buggy and seems "just dangerous to use" now. I've used it a few times lately, without much problem... except I think this:

After using wildshape recently, my PC's skills....are ALL wrong. I lost most of my ranks in some skills, which I THINK was caused by wildshaping. I posted a ticket on the BG bug forum months ago - but am in no rush. I have tried what i can to test, but the skill ranks have disappeared. ((I do need a re-build, but don't think of myself important enough to ask a DM for that much time to hang out and re-level me :( ...oh well))
Sorry I'd though (ok, hoped) someone else would handle this as I wasn't around at the time. But I guess paazin wasn't either.

Questions:
What date did this happen on?
Have you leveled since then?

If the answer to the later is 'no', I can copy/paste some parts of your old bic over to your current one. Otherwise I'll have to de-level you one level and then copy/paste. Much easier and less error-prone than a full rebuild. I don't have vault access now but I should by Friday.

Also, are you sure panther shape is more bugged than others? Are you sure you have problems with it more often than other shapes? That would strike me as very odd, as there is nothing inherently different about it from other wildshapes except for the graphical model used (and it would be extraordinarily odd for a different model to break a bic). Its possible there's some native code associated with polymorph.2da row #22 which breaks things. If so we could simply move panther shape to another row and see if that does anything.

Its possible the model is bugged and causes client-side crashes, but I've seen this with other wildshapes too. Elrien would sometimes crash everyone in the area, and sometimes continually crash on log-in until her wildshape could be removed. We might want to consider un-wildshaping any druid on log-in, and incrementing their wildshape uses by one if they were wildshaped.

Omegasage, polymorph stat modifiers (and more) are listed here:
https://raw.github.com/ALandFarAway/ALF ... ymorph.2da
As you can see there are no skill modifiers. NWN uses an unfortunate mix of native code and nwscript for its game-logic, so there's no easy way to mess with polymorph stuff.

oh my, please never apologize man... unless you intentionally MESSED ME UP WTF?!? ;-)

The thought of a rebuild or re-level to fix anything for me is AWESOME though... i'll quote you on that!! :)

And no, i do not think i've leveled since it happened... but i AM close to a "new" level (w00t), so if this can be done "soon" (within the next month?) man that would be cool...

I was being DM'd by Bogs and he asked for a "Knowledge:Nature" roll, and when i rolled it through the "Dice Roller" in PC-Tools, it showed up as "+0" !! HAHAA.... level 11 Druid with +0 Knowledge"Nature ......... ((he was NOT impressed! and i don't blame him! haha)) ...but due to the "skills messed up issue" i'm dealing with, that is his current modifier! ARGH! ...it's supposed to be at least +8 I think... anwyay...

I will address all other questions soon, right now, i'm late for a rehearsal of "The Caterpillar Boogie" grade 2 student mini-musical in the auditorium on teh 4th floor... and i'm the Emcee at teh concert, for shame!

Ok, just let me know when the exact date it happened was, or near as you can guess. Probably the ticket's date I'm guessing.

Nah, it was a while before the ticket I think. I was lazy posting a ticket - - well cause I was pretty sure it would be so long (or never) getting help with it - because I didn't want to bother anyone to do it - so I just played on with the messed up skills for Gad knows how long.

But you mentioned you hoped I didn't level up since it happened and I don't think I did....it takes many multiple months for Bu to level. So I doubt it happened before his current. So cheers and as always there's no rush - here's hoping! :)
