LE monk is a tricky concept to work for some server- the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting may have some examples of monk orders, so you can plan some of the background.

Perhaps Waterdeep? I think they have a decent GMT-8 contingent that you could likely overlap with.

In order to make gems "work", a server needs a gem merchant, whose buyback % is well above the usual (smelly goblin armor-balanced) merchant buyback. In order to keep players from selling said goblin armor to the gem merchant, it needs to be restricted to buying "gems" only in th...

The air seemed to crackle as an unfelt wind furled the cloak of the lone figure standing in Evric's path. Instinctually, he drew Tashita behind him protectively, hand going to the ornate mace hanging from his belt. "Foolish, shortsighted, and dangerously so." A flash of flickering light fr...

Man, that would be a lot of granite and diamond dust, to cover a whole PC and their armor- good thing we don't use components, huh? I wouldn't say an increase in nat armor class should necessarily be visible, is everyone who is wearing a nat armor amulet a different color? I voted "1", tho...

It's a bit ludicrous to discuss the "wealth level" of ALFA as one net variable. We have some PCs that have lived through the loosening of wealth and loot controls that supposedly happened at some time in the past, obviously as they get most of their swag before the reigns were tightened up...

Twenty-five words. She looked at the blank parchment before her accusatorily, as if it were somehow to blame. So much to consider, so much that could be said. Should be said? Who was to say? She dipped the quill into the ink and began to write, the fluid espruar runes looking sloppy and amateurish f...

Twenty-five words.

First attempt here, so be gentle. This is a composite of a few ingame events along with a little off-camera deliberation. Artistic license has been employed here in terms of the details and chronology. Hope no toes are trodden upon.

Re: What level is your character?

... those with no PC please explain why you do not play at present. That may have sounded a bit accusatory... I think what we're trying to get at from the "no PC" data is whether you're DM-fulltime (retired PC, or never had a PC), in between PCs (last one died, haven't started a new one y...

I think what we're trying to nail down here is now much time people spend on /live/ servers playing a /live/ PC, in order to get a frame of reference by which to compare the ALFA XP/hour standards to people's average playtimes per week, in order to consider the XP cap with good perspective.

Re: How much do you play in a week?

1- Less than 10 hours Was easily 10-20 before I started tooling and DM'ing, never remotely in the ballpark of 40 though. If you screen out people who are jusy picking the top number because it's funny, I think you'll find few in the 40 category. I'd be suprised if it's much over 15 players in all o...
