Re: Layla's Journal
I must give my thanks to Rumple for the very personal, extraordinarily creative DMing he has given me. When I first sent my bio to Rumple, he replied with the following words: Read and ABSORBED. I thought he was making a funny, but he was not. This story he is running goes right to the heart of who...

Re: The same thing we do every (ten)day... plot to SAVE THE ISLES (planning thread)
Barring unforeseen circumstances, I will NOT make the 22nd. In fact I will not be available on a weekend until Sunday, November 5. Then I will have Saturday November 11 and Sunday November 12 ... and then I won't have any weekends until December. I don't think I am really going to be able to meaning...

Re: Legends of Aria/Shards Online Alpha 3: What area?
I would be happy with any place that allows for a wide variety of characters. Preferably, a wide variety of terrain and encounters as well. Variety being the spice of life and all that. Where exactly should that be? No idea really. I am interested, but lack helpful ideas at the moment.

Re: Layla's Journal
Layla sat on the quay in the Callidyr harbor, her legs dangling over the edge. In her lap was a folded cloth full of plump juicy dates. She plucked one out and began to eat it slowly, savoring every moment. When it was gone, she began to write in her journal…. ***************************************...

Yay comments! Thank you. At least that way I know someone read (or at least skimmed) what I wrote. I appreciate that, thank you. ************************** 8th Day, Marpenoth 8, 1384. I would prefer to move forward, not backward, but if 5e cannot be properly coded, then 3.5 is fine.

Re: Meeting the Queen - When is Good
In a twist of irony I have Thursday night off ... but I wasn't part of the teleporting group. So ... yeah ... so much for that.

Re: Journal of a bard
Actually that's perfect OT. Your PC doesn't know the others that well and so the journal reflects that lack of knowledge. It's perfect in that regard.

Re: Journal of a bard
OK, I asked for replies to my journal, so I should offer my own to others (though OT, if you want your journal uninterrupted by comments, just let me know). So, the tone is great and it is well written, however, with the exception of Layla(Princess) and Aglaril, I think Camelia's summations of chara...

[OOC: Feel free to comment if you have comments. And by "feel free" I mean .. make comments. Dammit. Otherwise I feel like I am writing to an audience of zero. Which may be true actually. Dammit, have I become Rumple and are my library posts my high-five? Sheesh. Desperate times.] Third D...

Not that I am vital to this, but I am available this afternoon, and then I am working until Monday. I *may* take Friday off to see Bladerunner though. We shall see.

Layla's Journal
The Journal Layla sat in the sand, watching the sky catch fire as the sun set across the horizon. The beauty of the sun and sea never ceased to amaze her. As the sun set, Layla lit a candle and leaned back against a large rock. It was not particularly comfortable, but it would do. She opened the le...

Pretty good OT. I think your PCs perspective is generous and naïve, but the song/poem is pretty good.

Re: The Plan for the Goblin King
How about the following Friday? We have an unusual rotating schedule which I will not bother to explain here, but, it means I will not have a Friday off until October 27. Then I will have 3 Fridays in a row off ... then another dry spell. The problem here is that October 27 I will be in Detroit vis...
