The reason for originally using a world map is the module size limit, using areas as we did in NWN1 just wasnt possible.

Changing the flow of time also isnt really possible as time runs server wide, this is the reason that spells which have this effect can cause so much grief for scripters.

Define "Cool" :P I think before you jump to any conclusion on how it would be, best to try it on NPCs first. Applying the system to PCs could (more likely would) cause several problems. I could enable it for PCs to try it out when NU goes into Alpha testing and see how it works technically...

It doesn't do anything apart from copy inventory contents to a placeholder placeable if certain conditions are met, equipped items are skipped (stripping armour off a corpse is a bit more involved than just picking it up) and GP is not touched either. I'm not sure how it re-defines any ACR concepts,...

I'm picking NU back up now RL has settled into something sensible again, the area's you've spoken about are outside NU's server boundary but if you've got something built it could be included on NU until you decide to pick this back up.
