Open Application Server's Farewell

On the 20th of February, the year 2009, the Open Application server is put to rest. After many years of great service, the Open Application Server finally crawls into its final resting place, in the realms of the DM FTP. Since its first conception, back in 2004, the OAS has seen through countless of new faces. Maybe in the future some future Admissions Team and future Player Admin may seek to revive the OAS - to give it a good beating down and lay it out as the Welcome Mat for new members. But until then, it is going to be stored away.

*fires off a 21-gun salute as the OAS coffin is slowly carried away*

Over the next few days I will go about updating our documents to remove all reference of the Open Application Server. Thank you for all those legions of DMs and builders who have worked away over the years to make the Open Application Server the success it was. Thrasy, idoru, Ranger de Wood and HEEGZ are a few of the names that leap to my mind, but I know for sure that there are so many more who have spent hours and hours on the OAS that I apologies for not been able to list them all.

As of today, for the first time in more than 4 years, the Written Applications are the sole entry into ALFA. The Admissions Team and myself are constantly working on ways of making this system more and more straight forward and user friendly for applicants. Should you have any suggestions to further these improvements, please do not hesitate to contact myself, or any other Admissions Team member.
